Welcome to the website of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chesaning, MI. Since our founding in 1873 we have served the Chesaning area by proclaiming the good news of Jesus as the only Savior from sin, our only Source of eternal life, and our strength for life today. We believe in the great “alones” taught in the Bible:
We are saved BY GRACE ALONE. God has done everything to save us and gives this to us freely, without any cost to us or work required on our part.
God gives us this grace THROUGH FAITH ALONE. Faith is God’s gift of complete trust and reliance on Jesus as our only way to eternal life in heaven.
God gives the gift of faith IN SCRIPTURE ALONE. We believe that God gave every word of the Bible for our blessing and growth. God the Holy Spirit works faith in our hearts as we hear God’s Word and are brought to trust in Jesus as the only One who can save us and strengthen us each day.
The Bible focuses ON CHRIST ALONE, as our Savior says in John 14:6: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We would love to have you join us in worshiping our Savior. Our worship Services are on Sunday morning at 8:00 and 10:30 am from September through May and at 9:00 am on Sunday morning and 7:00 pm on Monday evening from June through August.
